Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you; it records things like the page, referrer, country and device type in aggregate.

Stored in your browser

Two things are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only: your best score for each quiz, and your last few routes and preferred unit in the distance calculator. They never leave your device. You can remove them at any time:

AI answers

When you press Ask, or ask for memory tips after a quiz, the text you submit is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to the model provider (OpenAI) to generate the answer. Mapology does not store your questions. Don't include personal information in questions. Requests are rate-limited by IP address, held briefly in memory only.
